Developed concepts for an old jail building re-use in Norwich, NY and completed MEP designs for a 12,000 sq ft conversion of this historic jail site to county offices. After we completed an initial study that included suggestions for re-use, we were hired to design the conversion of Sheriff's office and cell block to functioning offices. The County was interested in saving energy we we designed a veriable refigerant flow system that is capable of utilizing excess heat in portions of the building to heat heat portions that are in need. Each area is thermostatically controlled to maximze the comfort of the employees.
